The networking is the reason to pick the Beelink GTR9 Pro over its siblings, and it supports two specific use cases.
Pulling models from a NAS. A 40GB model over 2.5GbE takes roughly two and a half minutes. Over 10GbE it is around 35 seconds. AMD published a four-node Framework Desktop cluster running a trillion-parameter model, and two DGX Sparks pool 256GB over a single cable. The GTR9 Pro’s networking makes it the most cluster-ready machine in this class.
The honest caveat on clustering: it helps for capacity, not for speed on a single request. Splitting a model across nodes over Ethernet adds latency that tensor-parallel inference feels acutely. It is a way to run something that does not otherwise fit, not a way to make a model faster.
By contrast, the GMKtec EVO-X2’s single 2.5GbE port is the limitation that shows up first when a machine serves models to a network.

Published Beelink GTR9 Pro noise measurements conflict sharply, and it is worth reporting both rather than picking one.
Detailed testing describes the vapor chamber holding 120W LLM workloads at under 41 dBA, with a working range of roughly 36 to 41 dBA. That would make it the quietest machine in the category by a clear margin.

Living With It as a Server
If the dual 10GbE is why you are buying, a few practical notes for running the Beelink GTR9 Pro headless.
Set auto power-on after outage. If the machine lives in a cupboard as an always-on box, configure it in BIOS to come back by itself after a power cut. Otherwise a brief outage means a trip to wherever you hid it.
Use the unlocked BIOS. Undervolting is available and worth doing on a machine running sustained inference. A few percent of performance for a meaningful thermal and acoustic reduction is a good trade when nobody is watching the benchmark.
